South Luangwa Special: 5 Day Safari
Our best value for money 5 day safari option!
Day one: You will be collected from either Lilongwe or Chipata and transferred to the lodge located right on the South Luangwa National Park boundary. On route we will stop off at 'Rock View', where you can have a great view of the Luangwa valley and learn about the plants that the residents of the valley use as medicine! On arrival you will be greeted with a complimentary welcome drink. The rest of the afternoon is for you to recover from the trip and take in the beautiful nature around you before the evening meal is served.
Days two, three and four: Over the next 3 days you will have a total of four game drives lasting approximately 4 hours each. Morning game drives begin at 06:00 and are preceded by a light breakfast. After lunch has been served the evening/night drive begins at 16:00. Evening/night drives are a real highlight of the South Luangwa National Park as it is one of the few parks in Africa where they are on offer! After it gets dark we switch on powerful spotlights in search of nocturnal animals including the elusive leopard! After returning from the evening drive dinner will be served.
Day three: Following breakfast we head back to either Chipata or Lilongwe, with a stop off on the way to visit Tribal Textiles. Tribal Textiles was set up in 1991 for local people to sell their hand made African textiles.
